Cold Steppe converts agricultural waste- rice hulls, sawdust, and other overlooked biomass

THE ROLE
The Logistics Technician keeps material moving in and out of AR-1, receiving incoming biomass feedstock (rice hulls, sawdust, and other agricultural byproducts), managing inventory, and getting finished biochar staged and shipped out. No prior experience is required; we'll train you on our systems and equipment. This is one of our first frontline hires at AR-1- you'll help build the habits this facility runs on.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Receive and inspect incoming feedstock and outbound shipments, checking against orders and flagging any damage or discrepancies. Maintain accurate inventory of feedstock and finished product through regular counts and reconciliation. Stage, pack, and load outbound shipments accurately and on schedule, coordinating with carriers as needed. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely (forklift certification training provided). Keep the warehouse and yard organized, clearly labeled, and laid out for efficient flow. Run basic quality checks on incoming and outgoing material and report issues through established procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and records of inventory movements and shipments. Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements, and speak up when something looks unsafe. Work closely with the Floor Technician team to keep feedstock flowing to the floor without interruption.WHAT YOU BRING
No prior experience required- we'll train you. Prior warehouse, logistics, or material-handling experience is a plus, not a requirement. Forklift certification preferred; if you don't have one, we'll get you certified. Strong attention to detail
