Job Description

Since 1989, G.D. Barri & Associates, Inc., has been an integral strategic partner with utilities, universities, federal and state agencies, and prime contractors. We have provided these organizations with highly trained craft, technical, management, and engineering support services in 43 states across the country. Overview We are seeking a highly organized and analytical PC Material Coordinator to join our dynamic supply chain and logistics team. This role is essential in managing the procurement, inventory, and distribution of materials within our manufacturing and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and procurement processes, ensuring seamless materials flow from sourcing to delivery. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to process improvements, optimize inventory control, and support overall operational efficiency through data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities Coordinate procurement activities by sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts to secure optimal pricing and terms. Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, warehousing, and materials handling to ensure timely availability of components. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400 for accurate data collection, order fulfillment, and stock tracking. Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inventory discrepancies to implement effective corrective actions. Analyze demand planning data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen reports to forecast material needs accurately. Collaborate with logistics providers and 3PL partners to optimize shipping & receiving processes, including heavy lifting and materials handling. Manage supplier relationships through supplier management strategies, ensuring compliance with contracts and quality standards. Support production planning by coordinating materials availability aligned with manufacturing schedules. Perform financial analysis related to procurement costs, pricing strategies, and inventory valuation for process improvement initiatives. Leverage data analytics skills to visualize supply chain performance metrics and identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or materials coordination within manufacturing or retail environments. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), and data analysis tools including Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and contract management. Hands-on experience with inventory control, demand planning, logistics coordination, and shipping & receiving operations. Demonstrated ability in data mining, root cause analysis, financial modeling, and process improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for strategic decision-making. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including merchandising, retail management, and suppliers.
