Independently oversees assigned suppliers and service parts to ensure product availability while maintaining established inventory and service level targets. Identifies and addresses supply risks to maintain continuity of supply and serves as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers. Works cross functionally to resolve supply and supplier-related issues.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees inventory and supply planning for assigned suppliers and parts. Analyzes inventory levels, demand trends, open purchase orders, lead times, and months of supply to identify shortages and emerging supply risks. Develops and executes appropriate recovery or inventory actions. Develops and maintains professional supplier relationships and supply channels, including coordination and negotiation pricing, lead time, MOQ and QUPs, logistics, packaging, and other commercial terms. Supports new model and new part provisioning activities, including vendor onboarding. Addresses backorders and critical shortages to determine root cause, customer impact, and required recovery actions utilizing all available tools. Establishes priorities based on inventory position, demand, and customer requirements. Works directly with domestic and international suppliers to expedite supply, develop recovery plans and communicates expected resolution dates. Ensures supplier compliance with AIPDN Policy and Procedures to minimize supply interruptions. Leads post-production and end-of-life supply planning, including annual requirements, or all-time buys. Issues Request for Quotations (RFQs) and independently reviews and analyzes supplier quotations, including pricing, minimum order quantities, and lead times, and participates in supplier negotiations. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of various other inventory transactions. This includes, but is not limited to, stock adjustments, scrap transactions, credit memos, vendor returns, vendor invoices, and vendor chargebacks. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business related disciplines or equivalent work experience Minimum 2 years' experience in supply chain, inventory planning, materials management, purchasing, demand planning, or related fields. Experience should include direct responsibility for inventory analysis and supplier management Demonstrated experience independently managing suppliers, inventory, purchase orders, and/or material availability Experience analyzing demand, inventory levels, lead time, supply constraints, and developing corrective actions Automatic, OEM, or service-parts supply chain experience strongly preferred Experience working within an ERP/MRP environment required; SAP experience strongly preferred

KNOWLEDGE

In-depth understanding of Parts Inventory Control and Supply Management Principles

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify supply and inventory risks and recommend appropriate actions. Proficient in Microsoft office applications, particularly Excel, and experience working ERP/MRP systems Servigistics-SPM, or SAS coding, a plus Ability to effectively manage multiple suppliers, priorities, and time sensitive supply issues Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across suppliers, customers, and internal teams

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports, or records, typically weighing 5lbs. or less.

PAY SCALE

The pay scale for this position is between $59,951 and $73,439. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Any offer made to the selected candidate that falls below the California exempt baseline of $70,304 will be classified as non-exempt.
