Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities Coordinate transportation planning, freight management, and shipping & receiving activities to ensure efficient delivery schedules. Oversee warehouse distribution, inventory control, materials handling, and stock management using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle. Manage procurement processes including sourcing, vendor management, negotiations, and category management to secure optimal pricing and contract terms. Utilize data analysis skills with tools like Tableau, SQL, and supply chain analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify root causes of issues, and implement process improvements. Collaborate with 3PL providers (third-party logistics) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners for international freight forwarding and customs compliance. Conduct demand planning, procurement forecasting, and inventory replenishment using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems like AS400 or similar platforms. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing supply chain workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions related to transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and overall supply chain strategies. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics coordination, or warehouse distribution roles with a strong understanding of transportation planning, procurement, and inventory control. Proficiency in data collection, analysis skills with tools such as Tableau or SQL for reporting and decision-making purposes. Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or AS400; familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and demand planning software is highly desirable. Knowledge of freight forwarding including NVOCC operations, shipping & receiving procedures, vendor management, contracts negotiation, and category management. Mechanical knowledge or experience operating equipment such as forklifts is a plus; certification preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
