Qualifications Experience:
Five (5) years of successful school bus driving experience, including experience operating multiple bus types and performing daily safety inspections. Experience conducting or supporting driver training programs, including classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, or field observation. Experience in routing, scheduling, dispatching, or coordinating transportation operations preferred. Three (3) years of record-keeping experience or equivalent experience requiring accuracy and attention to detail. Public school district experience desirable. Any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities will be considered. MUST PASS THE DISTRICT WRITTEN EXAM
- Applicants that pass the initial screening will be notified of the examination date. The written exam will cover basic traffic safety, traffic laws and regulations, first aid, working with students, management and supervision and interpersonal relationships. After a conditional offer of employment, applicant must meet the following requirements: 1. A current tuberculosis clearance 2. Fingerprint clearance from the Dept. of Justice and the FBI 3. Must pass District drug screening 4. Must be insurable by the District's insurance carrier. 5. Must maintain all certifications as a condition of continued employment. Banning USD contributes toward the cost of family medical, dental and vision insurance. This position is part of the California School Employees Association bargaining unit.
