Warehouse Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities Coordinate warehouse distribution activities, ensuring timely shipping and receiving of goods while maintaining optimal inventory levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms like SAP or AS400. Manage procurement and sourcing activities by negotiating with vendors, overseeing contracts, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing aligned with demand planning and category management strategies. Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) to plan freight routes, schedule dispatching, and optimize transportation costs while coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, and shipping & receiving. Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inventory discrepancies to implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Utilize data analysis skills, SQL queries, and supply chain analytics tools such as Tableau to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and support demand planning initiatives. Lead materials handling operations including forklift utilization, warehouse stocking procedures, inventory control, and materials management to ensure safety and compliance standards are met. Foster strong vendor management practices by maintaining supplier relationships, managing contracts, and ensuring timely order fulfillment aligned with production planning needs. Skills Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like SAP or AS400, and transportation management systems (TMS). Strong data collection and analysis skills using SQL, Tableau, or similar tools to support supply chain decision-making. Extensive knowledge of supply chain processes including procurement, sourcing, freight management, inventory control, demand planning, and logistics optimization. Hands-on experience with warehouse operations such as shipping & receiving, materials handling equipment (including forklift certification), and inventory stocking. Excellent negotiation skills for vendor management and contract negotiations; ability to manage pricing strategies effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance; familiarity with transportation planning and dispatching procedures. Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify issues within the supply chain and implement continuous process improvements efficiently.
