Today, Gekkeikan's passion for pleasing the sake connoisseur remains unchanged. Dedicated just as the founder was several years ago, both Gekkeikan Japan and Gekkeikan USA continue the tradition of both taste and quality. Gekkeikan Sake (USA), Inc. is looking to hire a Logistics Assistant to assist with all shipping and receiving functions. In this energetic role, you will support the efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our warehouse facility. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth warehouse distribution, accurate inventory control, and seamless order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be willing to not only handle a wide variety of assigned daily tasks but also be able to work independently to solve problems. Responsibilities Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock counting, replenishment, and organization and warehouse management. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods. Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing shipments, verifying orders, completing necessary documentation, ensuring accurate packing and labeling. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve inventory accuracy, and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Keep the warehouse and dock orderly and organized, maintaining and filing necessary documentation. Assist other departments by contributing to production and bottling activities as required. Comply with all safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations including inventory control, order processing, shipping & receiving. Certification or experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment. Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with office equipment. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management. Ability to efficiently multitask with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills. Strong mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment and safety procedures aligned with OSHA standards. Previous warehouse experience in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
