Job Summary The Logistics Technician is responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory, and material handling operations while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, accuracy, timeliness, security, productivity, and customer service. This role receives and processes shipments, transfers materials between storage locations, prepares products for shipment, operates material handling equipment, and maintains accurate inventory and ERP records. The Logistics Technician works independently and collaboratively to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The position may require a modified first-shift schedule to support late-afternoon shipments, as well as periodic overtime. Job Responsibilities Receive, inspect, process, and store incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and products.

Prepare products and materials for domestic and international shipment.

Package, palletize, wrap, label, and secure products in accordance with established shipping requirements.

Prepare cylinders for shipment by removing old labels, cleaning or painting as required, inspecting, wrapping, applying appropriate valve labels, scanning barcodes, and palletizing materials.

Perform shipping and receiving transactions accurately within the ERP system.

Maintain accurate inventory records and complete inventory cycle counts.

Prepare shipping documentation in accordance with applicable company policies and transportation regulations.

Coordinate delivery and pickup activities with common carriers and internal locations.

Load and unload carrier trucks and other transportation equipment.

Operate forklifts and other approved material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Load and unload sea containers, including completing appropriate blocking and bracing requirements.

Transfer materials to and from warehouse storage locations.

Identify and escalate safety, quality, inventory, or operational concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Follow established work processes, procedures, and work instructions.

Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and orderly warehouse and work area.

Assist with warehouse security and ensure assigned work areas remain safe and accessible.

Participate in inventory management, shipping, receiving, and warehouse improvement activities.

Attend required safety meetings and complete assigned training.

Perform other related logistics and warehouse duties as assigned. Job Requirements 3+ years of relevant experience in logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, or material handling.

Forklift experience and certification required.

Experience processing shipping and receiving transactions using an ERP or inventory management system.

Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.

Ability to follow detailed work instructions, operational procedures, and safety protocols.

Ability to understand and follow applicable requirements related to hazardous materials, chemicals, and compressed gases.

Experience preparing shipping documentation and coordinating transportation activities.

Knowledge of applicable transportation and shipping regulations, including DOT, IMO, IATA, IMDG, and related requirements, preferred.

Experience with international shipping documentation, including IMO, AES, and ISF filings, preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and transactions.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing operational priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with internal departments, carriers, and other stakeholders.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
