Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Fremont, CA. This role supports a manufacturing supply chain team by managing purchase order timelines, tracking supplier commitments, expediting at-risk shipments, and maintaining accurate supplier and delivery data. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career supply chain or procurement professional who enjoys problem-solving, follow-up, data accuracy, and cross-functional coordination. The Supply Chain Specialist will work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment where proactive communication, organization, and ownership directly support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with suppliers, internal teams, purchase orders, part setup, and order status updates while contributing to a positive, collaborative workplace with supportive leadership and opportunities to build long-term supply chain experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor purchase orders, delivery commitments, and supplier updates to identify at-risk orders and reduce delivery delays.
  • Manage expediting activities, including proactive pull-ins, Full Service Expedites, and follow-up on broken delivery promises.
  • Track, enter, and maintain accurate broken promise dates, status changes, and expedite data in company systems.
  • Support purchase order acknowledgment and reacknowledgment processes by following up with suppliers and recording responses.
  • Process new part additions and support new supplier setup while ensuring data accuracy and documentation completeness.
  • Assist with supplier qualification activities to help confirm suppliers meet onboarding and compliance requirements. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay range: $28 to $32 per hour.

    Fremont, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Manage purchase order follow-up, acknowledgments, reacknowledgments, and past-due order tracking.
  • Support expediting efforts, broken promise management, and proactive pull-ins to reduce delivery risk.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, part, purchase order, and expedite data in internal systems.
  • Assist with new part setup, new supplier onboarding, and supplier qualification documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or a related administrative support role required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records in system-based workflows.
  • Ability to follow up with suppliers and internal stakeholders in a timely, professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open orders, timelines, and status updates.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify delivery risks and escalate issues appropriately. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or materials environment.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, supplier follow-up, order acknowledgments, and expediting processes.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, procurement, or supply chain management systems.
  • Prior exposure to supplier onboarding, new part setup, or data governance processes.
