Manage maritime crew communication, vessel maintenance schedules, and ship steering systems operation to support maritime logistics activities. Oversee vehicle inspections, maintenance documentation, minor mechanical repairs, and load securement procedures to maintain fleet safety and reliability. Optimize routes considering traffic conditions in logistics to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs. Negotiate freight rates with carriers and suppliers while ensuring compliance with Port State Control regulations for maritime operations. Supervise warehouse logistics management including inventory control, shipment tracking, and space utilization. Lead crew management efforts by coordinating staffing levels amidst driver shortages and ensuring adherence to safety protocols during rescue operations or lifeboat handling scenarios. Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records and ensure all vehicles meet safety standards through regular inspections. Communicate effectively using multilingual skills to liaise with international teams and maritime crews about schedules, safety procedures, and operational updates. Qualifications Mandarin speaking perference Fluency in English with excellent communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus. Proven experience managing delivery vans, straight trucks, tractor-trailers, or passenger vehicles within a logistics or transportation environment. Knowledge of maritime crew communication protocols, vessel maintenance practices, and ship steering systems operation. Strong understanding of route optimization techniques and traffic conditions impacting logistics planning. Familiarity with Port State Control regulations and warehouse logistics management principles. Ability to perform minor mechanical vehicle repairs and maintain detailed vehicle maintenance documentation. Experience negotiating freight rates with carriers or suppliers to maximize cost efficiency. Skilled in driver shortage management strategies and crew management best practices.
