Job Description
Overview We are a locally owned almond huller, sheller, handler, and sales organization dedicated to producing quality almonds products for our customers. We are committed to achieving the highest grower returns through the combined efforts of a cohesive, dedicated team. Duties
- Monitor vessel schedules, container bookings, and port terminal activities to ensure shipment information remains current and accurate.
- Coordinate with ocean carriers, port terminals, and internal departments to facilitate the timely and accurate movement of shipments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment information in REACTS, ensuring data integrity throughout the shipping process.
- Independently perform a variety of complex administrative and logistics-related tasks with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and provide support to achieve departmental goals and meet business objectives.
- Provide backup support to the Shipping Assistant as needed to ensure continuity of daily operations.
- Assist the Shipping Supervisor with administrative, operational, and special projects as assigned.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and company needs. Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required for success in this role.
- Minimum of three (3) years of executive-level administrative or clerical experience.
- Experience in logistics is a plus
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and management levels.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in person and electronically.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage time effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to resolve issues efficiently.
- Quick learner with the ability to master new processes and systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule when business needs require.
- Self-motivated individual with a desire to grow professionally and contribute to the success of a growing company.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or export/shipping operations is preferred but not required.
