Fleet Management Specialist Location:
LAX (Los Angeles) / EWR (Newark)
Working Hours:
9:00 AM-6:00 PM Position Summary Swift Cargo is seeking a Fleet Operations Coordinator to support driver recruitment and management, vehicle dispatching, fleet operations, safety compliance, vehicle maintenance, and accident and insurance claim handling. The ideal candidate should have strong bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English and be familiar with U.S. transportation regulations and fleet operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Understand and comply with U.S. transportation laws and regulations, including DOT and MC-related requirements; 2. Recruit, onboard, schedule, train, and manage drivers; 3. Assign drivers and vehicles based on transportation needs to ensure timely completion of delivery tasks; 4. Develop and follow up on vehicle operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair schedules; 5. Create and maintain vehicle safety records, technical files, licenses, permits, and other operational documents; 6. Organize and oversee driver safety education, operational compliance, and training; 7. Manage vehicle registration, inspections, insurance, permits, and related renewals; 8. Handle traffic accidents, vehicle damage, insurance claims, and related follow-up matters; 9. Prepare fleet operation reports and provide regular updates to the Head of Capacity Management; 10. Complete other fleet management and transportation-related tasks assigned by management. Qualifications 1. Previous experience in fleet management, transportation dispatching, logistics operations, or related field; 2. Familiarity with the U.S. transportation industry, including DOT, MC, vehicle insurance, and safety compliance requirements; 3. Experience in driver recruitment, vehicle dispatching, fleet maintenance, or accident handling is preferred; 4. Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills; 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other office software, with the ability to prepare reports and organize operational data; 6. Fluency in both Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a bilingual work environment; 7. Spanish language skills are a plus; 8. Previous experience with GOFO, UniUni, or another last-mile delivery or logistics company is preferred; 9. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
