Job Purpose:
The Materials Planner links Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing together. You will make sure parts are available, keep stock levels balanced, and prevent delivery delays to keep production running smoothly. You will also fully manage the company's Demo equipment program.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Run the entire Demo program. Work with the team to ship test products out, track incoming returns, keep inventory accurate, and create regular reports. Check inventory reports against sales and active factory jobs. Place orders and fix shortages using Oracle to meet production deadlines. Keep target stock levels for all assigned parts. Order extra factory supplies, clean up leftover job materials, and ensure parts are ready to meet customer order dates. Compare order dates with vendor delivery times. Work with managers, supervisors, and engineers to spot and clear up material shortages before they cause delays. Coordinate directly with buyers to get needed parts on time to match the main factory schedule. Act as the main contact for factory, buying, and design teams. Provide quick updates on stock levels, missing parts, and priorities.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 6+ years of materials planning or supply chain work in electronics manufacturing (experience with product repair or aftermarket services is a big plus). Strong hands-on experience using Oracle (or a similar major system) to track inventory and release orders. Experience running demo or loaner equipment programs, including tracking outgoing shipments and incoming returns. Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros, complex formulas, and charts) to build reports and analyze data. Good understanding of factory material flow, waste-reduction inventory methods, and strong problem-solving skills. Clear written and spoken communication skills to work well with different teams. Willingness to work late when urgent part shortages or production issues come up. Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary Range(annual): $85,000 - $115,000 Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
