This role assists in managing production schedules, material flow, and work order execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize delays and maintain efficiency. This position plays a key role in supporting the transition from engineering to production, ensuring materials, documentation, and resources are available to meet customer and internal delivery commitments. Key Responsibilities Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating production schedules using ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheets. Support the creation, maintenance, and closure of work orders (WOs) for components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Load and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure production documentation is accurate and complete. Monitor production progress, open orders, and material shortages; escalate issues to prevent delays. Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, production, quality, and logistics teams to support on-time delivery. Expedite materials, components, and assemblies to minimize downtime and production interruptions. Ensure work orders, kits, tooling, and documentation are prepared and ready for production. Communicate status updates on production schedules, high-priority items, and at-risk deliveries. Monitor supplier performance and follow up on late or critical deliveries. Maintain accurate records in ERP/MES systems and support inventory accuracy. Identify bottlenecks in production or supply chain and escalate as needed. Serve as a liaison between production and other departments to ensure alignment and efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma required, associate degree or bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred. 1-3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain operations (internships or entry-level experience acceptable) Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), build instructions, and technical documentation. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical manufacturing processes Experience with electromechanical assemblies or PCBA Knowledge of aerospace or defense industry standards (e.g., AS9100) Familiarity with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), configuration management, and quality processes Understanding of supply chain coordination and logistics processes In addition, the ideal candidate will have: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills A hands-on, "get it done" attitude. Effective communication ability Ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Creativity and self-motivation to solve unique and complex technical problems. Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 11, Word, Excel, etc. Excellent oral and written English skills.
