JOB SUMMARY
Break down daily store orders by route, division and departure into production wave breaks. Continue to monitor all aspects of product in house, through replenishments, stocking and selection to minimize scratches at the facility. Communicate with routing department on route information and truck cube issues. Manually route Hand-Bills (Add on orders) from customer service. Prepare Division Load Sheets, and get them to Loading Dock supervisor, Shipping Clerks and Yard Dogs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
Create production waves for selection by route, divisions and departures. Maximize service levels by consistently monitoring waves involving picklists, stock jobs and replenishments. Keeping the dock moving and ensuring the loaders are not unnecessarily stopped. Monitor waves by routes to ensure oldest waves are completed to meet departure times. Includes ensuring newer case selectors are not on nose stores. Communicate with support teams (i.e. inventory, conveyor maintenance, and/or EOs to keep product flowing throughout the facility). Communicate as needed with external carriers and/or Kroger supply chain personnel. Monitor Batch Replenishments and Stock jobs, and create work through the WO screen when necessary. Assist with startup meetings and stretching of employees. Help manage labor on the dock and move labor on the dock as needed to different dock functions. Prepare planners end of day packets. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, WORK BEHAVIORS
Excellent written and oral communication. Attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks and ease of working under pressure. Computer knowledge. Independent worker and a self starter. Professional manner with good communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School education or a GED equivalent. Good math skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Mild to continuous walking. Mild to continuous bending. Bend at knees and lift 20 lbs. From ground level occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Warehouse environment. Incumbent will work 8-12 hours daily in a warehousing environment with continuous exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, and heights. Variations in temperatures from 45 degrees to 95 degrees.
