CACI is seeking a Logistics Associate to support tasks in both our stock room, and shipping and receiving departments in Danbury, CT.Responsibilities:
The Stockroom position is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and managing inventory in a stockroom or warehouse. They ensure that items are properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible for efficient operations.Principal responsibilities include the following:
- Daily stockroom activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing inventory items in compliance with company policies.
- Support regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize loss.
- Collaborate with procurement and other departments to forecast inventory needs and support supply chain initiatives.
- Maintain inventory management software to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Customer service mindset to collaborate with internal customers to ensure business deliverables are met.
Principal responsibilities include the following:
- Manage the receipt and shipment of all products, materials and supplies to include scheduling critical transportation and pickup times from outside sources.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams.
- Collaborates and communicates with buyers, project managers, engineers and others involved in the receipt and shipment of products.
- Tracks, traces and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Promptly unloads trucks/deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Keep and maintain files of products shipped and received by preparing shipping and receiving reports for managers.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Troubleshoots shipping/receiving issues that arise and work to solve them.
