Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator will manage transportation arrangements, document preparation, and shipment tracking to ensure timely order fulfillment. Collaborating with internal teams and transportation carriers, the coordinator will oversee export authorizations and customs compliance, address any shipping discrepancies, and execute shipment plans based on customer requirements. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient logistics operations and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Essential Duties Coordinate all shipping activities, including cost analysis, arranging transportation, preparing shipping documents, and oversee shipment tracking. Coordinate timely and accurate order fulfillment through collaboration with warehouse teams. Collaborate with internal team members (Customer Relations, Finance, Shipping, Sales etc.) and transportation carriers to coordinate outbound logistics. Manage preparation of additional documentation as needed for shipments such as Customs documents, special Bills of lading, and end user compliance, per company policy. Ensure that all export and import documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company policy and Government standards. Collaborate with customer, warehouse teams and carriers to arrange pickups, clear holds, and confirm delivery specifications and other shipping requirements are accurate and complete. Manage any shipping discrepancies or issues by collaborating with carriers and customers regarding resolutions. Broker shipment plans within the scope of customers date requirements. Attend status meetings and communicate risks to business as it related to logistics and individual orders. Essential Requirements Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage cross-functional tasks, and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environment. Strong ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy. Additional Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP) preferred. Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of experience managing import/export shipments preferred. Strong knowledge of HTS codes and US customs preferred. 2 years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
