Summary:
Pratt & Whitney Amercon is seeking to hire a Logistics 1 Shipping/Receiving I. This is a highly collaborative role where you will partner with production control, warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, planning and other operational organizations. Position works 2nd Shift (2pm to 10pm, Monday - Friday) onsite at our Middletown PA location.
What You Will Do:
Receives, checks, stores, kits, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control. Expedite the program and facility materials. Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means (not to include forklifts, box trucks or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material. Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials. Proficiently uses computer hardware/software. Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment. Records calibration logs of tools and equipment. Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices. Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean. Performs related duties as required within the scope of this job function. Will be asked to lift boxes and other equipment up to 50 lbs. Works under moderate supervision and completes additional tasks as assigned. Works overtime as needed. Transports airfoils in trays throughout the facility. Loads and unloads parts in trays and washes and dries airfoils per requirements to avoid FOD. May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one's skills.
Qualifications You Must Have:
HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or
GED, U.S.
citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Requires minimum 1-year of experience in warehousing and/or logistics related activities such as operation of warehouse material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, box trucks and/or hoists, etc.).
Qualifications We Prefer:
Able to work with MS Windows. Able to perform basic Math calculations. Knowledge of SAP systems. Using RF Scanner.
