Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support the efficient movement of materials, equipment, and supplies throughout the supply chain. This role works closely with the Logistics and Procurement Manager, Project Managers, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and installation support. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating logistics activities, maintaining accurate records and documentation, tracking material certifications, and helping ensure projects remain on schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the Logistics and Procurement Manager to support procurement activities and material planning.
- Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and tracking of materials, equipment, and supplies to support operational and project requirements.
- Safely operate a forklift, when properly trained and certified, to move materials within the warehouse, yard, or jobsite staging areas.
- Unload semi-trucks and other delivery vehicles, verifying materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery documentation.
- Drive company vehicles as needed to pick up, deliver, or transfer materials, tools, equipment, and supplies between company facilities, vendors, jobsites, and delivery locations.
- Operate trucks with trailers safely and responsibly, ensuring loads are properly secured and transported in accordance with company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
- Work closely with Project Managers, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure materials are available on schedule for installations and project execution.
- Track shipments and deliveries, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and vendors to ensure materials and equipment are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Track and maintain material documentation, including Mill Test Reports (MTRs) and Mill Certifications, ensuring compliance with project specifications and material traceability requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, certifications, and procurement activities while resolving delivery and supply chain issues as needed.
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and materials to meet company and project needs.
- Support negotiation of shipping rates and service agreements with logistics providers.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, delivery status, inventory levels, and related cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable transportation, procurement, and documentation requirements.
- Provide general logistics support to the Logistics and Procurement Manager and assist with additional departmental needs as required. Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, procurement, inventory management, project coordination, or related operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and assist with unloading semi-trucks, subject to required training, certification, and company safety procedures.
- Valid, clean driver's license required, with the ability to drive company vehicles as needed.
- Experience driving trucks with trailers preferred or required based on company vehicle and jobsite needs.
- Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting installation projects or construction-related operations.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation, inventory control, and logistics processes.
- Experience tracking Mill Test Reports (MTRs), Mill Certifications, and material traceability documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and logistics software.
