Job Description

Overview Trident Surfacing is the premier sports-flooring contractor in Florida. We refinish, recoat, and install hardwood basketball courts and athletic floors for schools, universities, and facilities across the state. Our customers love us, our crews are the best in the business, and we're growing. We're looking for an Operations Coordinator to keep the field running while we scale. This is a hands-on logistics and scheduling role, not a desk job. You'll make sure the right crew is at the right job with the right materials at the right time, working directly with the owner every day. Responsibilities Schedule the crews. Plan and adjust which teams go to which jobs across the state, like Tetris with people, dates, and drive times. Keep the schedule current and everyone pointed in the right direction. Handle travel and logistics. Book hotels, plan routes, and sort out the day-to-day logistics that keep crews moving without downtime. Order and plan materials. Track what's in the warehouse, order product (finish, sandpaper, supplies) ahead of the jobs that need it, and make sure we never show up short. Keep the back office tight. Run expense reports, keep spend organized against jobs, and handle the blocking-and-tackling that keeps operations clean. Be in the field. Occasional job visits, see the work, and stay close to the crews and the owner to solve problems fast. Skills Extremely organized and comfortable living inside a schedule. You like the puzzle of moving people and resources around. A fast, reliable executor. When something needs doing, it gets done same-day, not next week. Good instincts for logistics and coordination. You can look at jobs and crews and get a feel for who should be where. You don't need to know the flooring trade. A background in construction, field services, logistics, dispatch, operations, or hospitality — anything where you scheduled and moved people and materials — is a strong fit. We'll teach you the rest. Great communicator, calm under pressure, and happy to take direction on the fly. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus (much of our crew speaks Spanish). Join us as an Operations Coordinator to be at the heart of our supply chain excellence! Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional service while continuously improving our operational processes in a vibrant team environment dedicated to growth and innovation.
