Job Description

•Sponsorship is not available for this position Job Overview The primary responsibility of this position is to support planning of material needs and assist in scheduling of production within the Buford facility. In addition, this role will be the site owner for master data functions such as, product quoting, creating and maintaining product master data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using advanced tools such as SAP, Oracle, and ERP systems to align supply with customer needs. Plan both short- and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory needs. Project forward-looking inventory positions and financial implications. Monitor weekly and monthly production plans, prioritizing work orders. Monitor movement of materials through internal suppliers and within the production facility. Set safety stock levels and minimize excess inventory. Use SAP to plan and schedule production. Design and create new tools to help improve the planning functions of supply chain. Act as champion for driving improvements as identified from the Planning Assessment. Engage in continuous improvement as it relates to processes and material availability. Quote standard costs for all HTU-produced product. Develop and create necessary material master records in SAP for all parts manufactured in the HQNA. Work with accounting department on a regular basis to check production variance reports. Utilize 5S wherever practical in day-to-day activities. Work closely together with global Material Master Lead of GBU, propose improvements & highlight issues in current process. Coordinate day-to-day data maintenance for site or region, depending on Global Business Unit setup. Create and maintain Material Master on A-segment (Basic data) level: only ones to create new materials in P01. Key User for Product Lifecycle Management -Process, first contact for local/regional colleagues in case of questions & training needs around above Master Data Management scope. Responsible for maintaining Master Data for all Heraeus Quartz North America sites. Responsible for maintaining foreign trade data using the GTS (Global Trade Services) database. Assist other users with QDC part quote and new material requests. Interact extensively with Sales and Manufacturing. Interact with the Accounting department on proposed costs for goods and services; interact with Manufacturing regarding production routers and other master data required to manufacture parts. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management within manufacturing or industrial environments. Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management. Must be proficient in ERP system such as SAP and possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Four or more years of experience in SAP, with a focus on MRP, bill of materials, routers, and material master. Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and their application in production planning. Knowledge of forecasting methods and demand planning strategies to anticipate market needs accurately. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Effective communication skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams and external partners.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
