About DLS Engineering DLS is an engineering firm with 30 years of Federal Government contracting experience. Position Overview DLS Engineering is seeking a Supply Planner for a full-time position for an upcoming proposal in support of the Air Force's 638 Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG) at Robins Air Force Base, GA. This is an on-site position. This contract is to provide hands on technical expertise to provide advisory and assistance services (A&AS) and guidance on logistics systems and processes. The 638 SCMG plans and executes the Air Force Supply Chain to enable weapon system employment when and where needed. The 638 SCMG provides life-cycle logistics support to include developing enterprise demand/supply plans, developing/implementing sourcing strategies, executing the supply plan, and executing cognizant engineering authority to meet customer requirements. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of the 638th SCMG, the Government must augment its organic workforce with A&AS support.
A day in the life:
You will provide expert item management and supply chain optimization services to ensure the efficient and effective distribution and sustainment of Air Force assets worldwide. You will leverage in-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, repair procedures, logistics processes, and Air Force budgetary systems to manage items, analyze data, and optimize asset distribution. This includes leading, guiding, and motivating personnel while applying specialized analytical techniques to resolve complex inventory management problems.
Key responsibilities include:
Requirements identification/development, item management, and requirements execution Validate repair requirements, initiating and managing organic/contract arrangements Optimize global asset distribution based on customer needs Analyze data to determine optimal demand planning methods. Resolve complex inventory problems Prepare reports and briefings for management and customers. Apply knowledge of logistics planning, programming, and budgeting systems When I read the below it sounds like me: Minimum 8 years of Air Force Supply Chain Management experience Active Secret Security Clearance (required) Experience in supply planning, inventory management, requirements planning, logistics analysis, and material management Experience supporting Air Force weapon system sustainment Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred experience includes: Inventory Management Supply Planning
