Xylem is looking for an Entry Production Planner associate to report to our Thomasville, GA location and support our manufacturing location. This is a first shift position, including some weekends and/or overtime as required.

None The Entry Production Planner is an important administrative role within a manufacturing environment, providing day-to-day support for material flow, project execution, production order management, and transactional accuracy. This position is well suited for a detail-oriented professional who can manage routine responsibilities effectively while responding to changing business priorities. The Planning Specialist works closely with production, procurement, and planning teams to support operational continuity and help meet customer commitments. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history working safely, following standard work, and supporting continuous improvement in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Job Summary The Entry Production Planner provides administrative and transactional support for project and production activities within a manufacturing operation. The Entry Production Planner issues materials accurately, prepares production documentation on schedule, completes system transactions correctly, and maintains and communicates delivery information. Major Duties/Responsibilities Issue materials to projects and production orders in accordance with established processes and schedules. Complete post-project and production order clean-up activities to maintain system accuracy and support proper transaction closure. Prepare and distribute job packets to support timely and accurate execution on the shop floor. Process transactions related to non-conforming material reports and maintain accurate supporting documentation in applicable systems. Confirm, update, and communicate delivery dates to customers and internal stakeholders, as required. Provide administrative and transactional support to planning, procurement, and production teams to help achieve operational objectives. Maintain accurate ERP transactions and system data to support inventory integrity, material availability, and order status visibility. Coordinate with cross-functional partners to resolve issues affecting schedules, material flow, or order execution. Prioritize daily responsibilities to support routine operational requirements as well as urgent or changing business needs. Contribute to an organized and efficient planning function through consistent execution of established processes and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or
GED Experience:
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Systems:
Prior experience using an ERP system Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a multinational publicly traded company Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles Experience using SAP Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain schedules and timelines in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy Ability to perform transactional work consistently within established processes Effective problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining quality and responsiveness Proficiency in administrative responsibilities that support planning and production operations Working Style/Expectations The Entry Production Planner role is primarily administrative and requires a structured, dependable, and service-oriented approach. Success in this position depends on the ability to manage routine transactional and coordination responsibilities while remaining flexible in response to changing operational priorities.

The role is primarily based in a climate-controlled office setting and requires frequent presence in a non-climate-controlled production area to support daily operations and coordinate with plant personnel. Regular interaction with both office and production employees is expected, along with routine movement between office and manufacturing spaces. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn at all times in designated production areas. The Planning Specialist is expected to work safely and in compliance with all company policies, environmental health and safety requirements, and site procedures.
