We're hiring a Logistics and Operations, Specialist to keep our daily operations running smoothly, help us make smarter decisions through better data, and keep our brand and communications sharp across our website, social media, and other materials. About the role This is a cross-functional position at the center of our business, touching logistics, supply chain, inventory, accounting, data analysis, and marketing. You'll coordinate inbound and outbound cottonseed shipments, track our rail car fleet, support supplier and shareholder communications, turn our operating history into actionable insight for leadership, and help maintain our public-facing presence, including our website, social media accounts, and marketing collateral. This role reports directly to the President and gives you real visibility into every part of the business. What you'll do Logistics and supply chain Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and maintain load documentation (bills of lading, scale tickets, delivery confirmations) Manage cottonseed inventory and reconcile discrepancies Communicate daily with team members on loading and unloading schedules Prepare and submit supplier payment and customer invoice paperwork for approval Rail car fleet Track rail car movement and timing, and proactively flag potential delays or issues Monitor maintenance and repair activity and submit related paperwork Support scheduling to minimize downtime and maximize loads processed Data analysis and reporting Mine historical crop, volume, and payment data to surface trends and inform current-season decisions Build and maintain dashboards tracking deliveries, contract fulfillment, shrinkage, and margin versus prior seasons Surface actionable insight to the President and leadership team Accounting support Assist with AP/AR, invoice entry, and inventory reconciliation Prepare documentation for month-end close and assist with audits and reporting requests Help track shareholder and supplier payments and respond to related inquiries Marketing support Update and maintain the company website with current news, contact information, and seasonal announcements Manage and grow our social media presence, including planning and posting content that reflects our brand and story Design and update marketing collateral such as flyers, brochures, presentations, and shareholder communications Coordinate with the President and leadership team on messaging for company announcements, events, and community outreach Maintain a consistent, professional brand voice and look across all public-facing materials What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, accounting, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred Prior office, operations, or administrative support experience preferred Experience in cottonseed processing a plus Strong Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with accounting, inventory, or ERP software a plus Comfort with website content management tools and social media platforms; familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva) a plus Clear, professional communicator who can juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership from start to finish Compensation $50,000 to $60,000 starting pay per year, non-exempt (hourly, overtime eligible).
