Position Overview:
Provide day-to-day logistics support for the biodiesel plant and the broader company, including coordinating container movements and facilitating communication across the supply chain between islands
Position Responsibilities:
Logistics:
Work closely with shipping/receiving teams on all islands Coordinate daily trucking and barge movements of ISO tanks Track daily movement of ISO tanks and distribute lists appropriately Coordinate delivery of biodiesel and other products to customers Talk with customers and vendors by phone and email and provide timely information Provide logistics/delivery paperwork to customers and vendors Reconcile freight carrier invoices Provide information to accounting for invoicing of biodiesel to customers
Supply Chain:
Monitor daily inventory levels at plant/customer sites as applicable Assist with monthly physical inventory assessment as needed Manage day-to-day orders of materials and make purchase orders as requested Create shipping and receiving documents and review for completeness and accuracy Back up PBT retail sales operations as needed Assist in preparing supply chain related reports as needed K ey
Requirements:
Education :
Associates degree in business administration, logistics or related field and/or related work experience in a similar position.
Experience and Competencies:
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications; experience with Microsoft Access a plus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral Strong attention to detail Problem solving skills Strong organization, prioritization and time management skills. Ability to work under time pressure in a cross-functional environment Proven business process management skills Independent, self-starting, accountable professional with a demonstrated sense of urgency, integrity and adaptability Professional demeanor and positive attitude toward co-workers, customers and the general public
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to talk and hear frequently as job involves daily oral communication. Ability to sit, stand, twist, reach, walk, and climb stairs. Ability to wear protective equipment on the head, face, hands, and feet in accordance with safety requirements. Ability to travel by personal vehicle, perform periodic errands, and travel by airplane to off-site interisland and mainland U.S. locations. May be required to do some lifting.
