Job Description

Primary Functions:
To ensure egg products are collected, transported and palletized for scheduled delivery.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
  • Responsible for collecting eggs from layer barns
  • Manually transfer all eggs from egg racks to pallets to be stored until designated shipping date
  • Document eggs source flocks, lay date and other data as required
  • Required to load egg pallets for delivery and return all material to proper location
  • Maintain supply inventory of cases, flats, racks, and pallets
  • Document daily the temperature of the egg truck, and egg cooler temperature(s)
  • Complete and maintain records for Egg Transfer, DC Cooler and FDA requirements
  • Ensure all work is completed within biosecurity guidelines
  • Maintain the E-Log system according to state and federal regulations
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues to management
  • Able to maintain equipment and operate within biosecurity requirements
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Flock Service Manager
  • Comply with OSHA, Bio-Security, Welfare, and DOT regulations Special knowledge,
Skills, Licenses, Certifications:
  • Must have a current valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement issued by Department of Transportation
  • Knowledge and able to physically use manual and electronic pallet jacks to maneuver egg pallets
  • Must be able to understand and carry out simple to complex written, math and verbal instructions
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift or move objects with proper equipment.
  • Willing to work variable schedule of nights, weekends and holidays when requested
  • Required to sit, stand, climb, and move about the vehicle and facilities
Pay:
$23.00 - $24.00 per hour
