This role serves as a bridge between local high schools, students, families, and Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services to provide opportunities for career exploration, work-based learning, and skills development that prepare students for post-secondary employment. Duties and Responsibilities Plan, implement, and monitor Pre-ETS activities in partner high schools, including career exploration, workplace readiness training, counseling on post-secondary education, and work-based learning experiences. Coordinate student participation in internships, job shadowing, and volunteer experiences. Ensure programs align with Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation and federal Pre-ETS guidelines. Serve as the primary liaison between high schools, Vocational Rehabilitation, and community partners. Build relationships with school staff, families, and local employers to expand opportunities for students with disabilities. Collaborate with VR counselors to identify eligible students and support their transition goals. Maintain accurate records of student participation, progress, and outcomes. Prepare reports as required by funding sources and VR regulations. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding students with disabilities and employment programs. Provide individualized guidance to students regarding career pathways, post-secondary education, and employment options. Advocate for students' needs within the school and community to ensure equitable access to programs. Support development of transition plans and integration with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) where appropriate. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. This is a full time, grade 6, administrative position with a starting annual wage of $49,728. This is a grant funded position.
