We design the main components of the hydraulic system, for applications in the fields of construction, road vehicles, material handling, agriculture and mining. We are looking for a candidate to direct or coordinate purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and/or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy and customer service. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred, but not required. 3-5 years of relevant experience in material planning, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or import/export operations preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered. Planning & Procurement Execute corporate planning process to evaluate and convert customer demand to supplier orders. Create purchase orders for components and finished goods, ensuring timely placement and acknowledgement to match customer requirements. Manage PO changes resulting from shifting customer demand or sales input, assuring supplier alignment and capability. Monitor system tools to detect and act on supplier misalignments with expediting, escalation and reacknowledgement as needed. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to translate customer forecast demand to material coverage plans to meet on-time delivery KPI's. Adapt demand planning to control inventory levels in accordance with company KPI's while supporting customer OTD requirements. Develop expectations and procedures for business operations with other functional areas, such as sales, finance, and assembly. Work with global HQ to implement planning strategies that adapt to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies. Frequently liaise with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring there is no overstock or stockouts, reducing both carry costs and material shortages. confirm material availability, lead times, shipping methods and communicate any issues surrounding production and delivery of required goods. Communicate with Sales and Customer Service teams to gather insight into customer demand planning practices to align with company lead time capability. Meet with suppliers to evaluate performance, provide feedback, share expectations for improvement or change and to determine capacity shortfalls and opportunities. Manipulate and analyze data from ERP and BI systems within spreadsheets to analyze information about customer demand, supplier performance or inventory in meeting delivery requirements. International & Domestic Freight Manage relationships with international and domestic freight forwarders and customs brokers, evaluating prices, terms, capacity and capability to maximize service level and cost. Cooperate with freight forwarders to ensure freight collection, efficient routing and timely domestic delivery, addressing and communicating internally regarding any unexpected delays. Supply timely information to Warehouse staff regarding container arrival and support all information needed regarding tariff value and invoice information to assure precision in the receiving process. Import Customs Coordination Support the process of assigning tariff valuations to incoming shipments with forwarders, brokers and internal resources. Coordinate supply of material derivative values from engineering sources to satisfy customs requirements for new part entries. Assist internal stakeholders with tariff rate information and HTS classifications for cost, price, and customer data requirements. Assist Finance Dept. in reconciling invoices, entries and freight charges, ensuring correct, anticipated customs treatment and tariff values for all inbound products Review import documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declaration for accuracy and communicate any inaccuracies to the customs broker. Support the collective effort toward compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
