Job Description:
Position Summary LHH is currently recruiting for a hybrid, direct hire, meticulous Demand Planning & Inventory Analyst in Oak Brook, IL to support forecasting, inventory optimization, and cross-functional supply chain collaboration. This role plays a critical part in translating data into actionable insights that improve service levels, inventory health, and forecast accuracy. The anticipated salary for this role is between $65,000 and $90,000 a year. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop demand forecasts using sales history, trends, and analytical models to project future product requirements. Identify anomalies in ordering patterns and create data-driven corrective action plans. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve forecast accuracy. Monitor key performance indicators including forecast accuracy & bias, inventory turns/days of supply, and fill rate. Deliver advanced reporting, dashboards, and visual presentations to internal teams and customers. Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate out-of-stock risks and solutions. Manage and review European transfer containers to maintain appropriate global stock levels. Track lead times and adjust forecasts in response to transit delays or supply disruptions. Support item setup and maintenance, ensuring accuracy in item master data to protect replenishment and forecast integrity. Identify supply chain process improvement opportunities and recommend actionable solutions. Support Account Executives and Account Managers by managing assigned business lines and resolving demand-related issues. Prepare and present data-driven Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) focused on forecast performance, demand trends, and inventory health. Communicate forecasting insights and respond to demand-related inquiries from internal and external partners. Participate in S&OP meetings, proactively presenting demand shifts, and potential supply gaps to align inventory investment and service level goals. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree required, Supply Chain, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred. 3-6 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred Advanced Excel and data visualization skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, self-prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and complete assignments accurately with minimal supervision. Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
