Job Description

Hiring a Demand Planner Administrator in Cary, IL! The Demand Planner Administrator supports the demand planning department by performing a wide range of administrative and coordination tasks that help ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role requires an adaptable, proactive professional who can manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, detail, and results. The Demand Planner Administrator works closely with planners, production, and support teams to keep manufacturing orders, inventory, and data flowing smoothly across the organization. Responsibilities Print production schedules, work travelers, and drawings for the manufacturing team to ensure they have up-to-date documentation. Input data accurately into ERP software to support reliable tracking, reporting, and decision-making. Process purchase requisitions and track inventory to support timely procurement and material availability. Assist in managing manufacturing and sales order statuses, ensuring orders move efficiently through the production process. Record meeting notes, document key decisions, and assist with tracking action items to completion. Support the tracking and execution of key performance indicators (KPIs), forecasting activities, and other data collection efforts. Execute deviation requests from manufacturing as required, ensuring proper documentation and communication. Monitor stock levels and product usage, providing accurate and timely data to demand planners. Track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders to avoid production disruptions. Act as a liaison between the production floor, support roles, and planners to promote smooth operations and clear communication. Ensure efficient manufacturing order management by coordinating documentation, updates, and status changes. Assist in gathering, organizing, and sorting data for KPIs and forecasting efforts. Support planners in maintaining and monitoring stocking levels to align with demand and production requirements. Track actionable items and help ensure deadlines are met across planning and production activities. Maintain accurate tracking of changes, including ECNs, and ensure updates are reflected in relevant systems and documents. Foster strong communication and collaboration between manufacturing, support teams, and demand planners.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing support role, ideally in a demand planning or operations environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and related tools. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including comfort with spreadsheets and data management. Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing or supply chain context. Experience in administrative support, manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, procurement, logistics, and production support. Experience with Great Plains ERP, with an interest or ability to support a transition toward Microsoft Dynamics. Experience creating and using pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions in Excel. Work Environment This role is 100% onsite in a large manufacturing facility with a standard shift of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., plus some overtime as needed to support production demands. The Demand Planner Administrator works closely with a team of three planners and regularly collaborates with operations and other support functions. The position requires frequent presence on the manufacturing floor, providing exposure to end-to-end manufacturing processes from application engineering and product design to fabrication, testing, and final assembly. The facility offers extensive in-house capabilities, including CNC machining, forming, welding, foundry operations, clean-room assembly, and R D, fostering close collaboration and continuous improvement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.50 - $34.50/hr.
