Position Summary The Lead Logistics Technician plays a key role in the daily operations of V&K Rentals by assisting with deliveries and pickups, supporting the office and logistics operations, responding to urgent delivery requests, and serving as the right hand to the Logistics Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality, cleanliness, organization, and timely delivery of rental equipment while assisting with loading, unloading, inventory, and on-site setup and breakdown. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who takes initiative, demonstrates sound judgment, think critically, solve problems, lead by example, and upholds a high standard of professionalism and integrity. Help keep our daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, independently, and can make confident decisions with minimal supervision while representing V&K Rentals professionally at every job site. Key Responsibilities Drive the company cargo van for deliveries and pickups. Safely load, unload, and transport rental equipment. Verify orders before leaving the office and upon pickup. Assist with route planning and logistics coordination. Respond to urgent or last-minute delivery and pickup requests as needed. Serve as the primary field support for the Logistics Manager. Assist with training and supporting team members. Clean, inspect, organize, and maintain rental equipment. Report damaged or missing equipment immediately. Assisting in maintaining organization and inventory accuracy. Provide outstanding customer service at every delivery. Represent V&K Rentals professionally at all times. Follow all company safety procedures and policies. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience driving cargo vans or box trucks preferred. Delivery, warehouse, inventory management, or logistics experience preferred. Event rental experience is a plus. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Professional attitude with excellent customer service and communication skills. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Must be willing to respond to urgent same-day delivery or pickup requests when needed. Compensation Competitive hourly pay starting at $20.00/hour . Performance review after 90 days with the opportunity for a pay increase based on reliability, performance, and business needs.
