Job Description

Description Material Planner supports the flow of materials throughout the organization to ensure production schedules are met and customer demand is fulfilled. This role monitors inventory levels, analyzes material requirements, and works closely with teams across production, supply chain, procurement, and sales. Success in this position relies on strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple locations and functions. The role may require occasional travel to plant sites and periodic after hours review of production plans. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of finished goods, raw materials, and components. Coordinate with vendors, purchasing category managers, and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • When working with external vendors, build relationships and support the movement of materials to plants or customers in alignment with demand.
  • Review material usage, inventory trends, and lead times to identify improvement opportunities. Support product rationalization activities by product line or business unit.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand demand drivers and forecast material needs based on product line initiatives.
  • Work with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align materials, resolve conflicts, and support timely delivery of products.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes related to inventory, production planning, and execution. Support the implementation of best practices that enhance efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Provide clear updates on issues, priorities, and material changes. Ensure relevant teams are informed and aligned.
  • Perform basic master data maintenance as required.
  • Support minimal project assignments as needed.
  • Maintain an understanding of business unit metrics and performance targets. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must Have
  • SAP•Material Planning/Scheduling•Experience coordinating materials with vendors•Experience working with sub contractors•Excel experience (can perform data entry, use some formulas, etc.
) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Greenfield, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00
  • $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
