Logistics & Inventory Associate Reports to:
Inventory Operations Manager FLSA Status:
Full-time; non-exempt
Purpose:
The Logistics and Inventory Associate ensures that all packing supplies and constructed mailers are fully stocked to support the fulfillment team. This role involves daily checks of packing materials, operating the box machine to construct mailers, and assisting with various special projects across the DC. This position is essential for maintaining the operational readiness of the fulfillment process. They are also responsible for coordinating with the Inventory team on deliveries, inventory moves, and special projects. This position is based at our headquarters in Michigan City, IN.

Special Projects:
Collaborate with Inventory Operations Manager on various projects such as unloading and loading trucks, rearranging inventory, constructing shelving, and relocating items. Complete assigned tasks efficiently to support DC operations.
Supply Monitoring and Stocking:
Check daily packing supplies, including wholesale boxes, cases, and mailers. Restock fulfillment areas to maintain a consistent supply for the team.
Box Machine Operation:
Assess mailer volume each morning and construct additional mailers as needed. Operate the box machine to stock mailers in required sizes for daily use.
Additional Responsibilities:
Support other areas of the DC as assigned based on business needs. The use of a pallet jack, Big Joe lift and forklift can be expected each day along with following proper safety procedures that promote a safe working environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High School diploma or GED Ability to read with good comprehension and precise mathematical skills Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills Must be a selfstarter, resultsoriented, and a team player Excellent verbal and written communications skills Excellent skills managing multiple competing priorities daily Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail time management, and project management skills Competent with computer software such as Outlook and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to utilize the inhouse ERP and OWMS software systems within 60days of employment Eligible for Forklift certification through
Peepers Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Communication with coworkers requires an ability to express oneself as well as perceive and exchange ideas Viewing computer terminal, perceiving, and transcribing data with accuracy and keyboarding fill a portion of the day in a warehouse environment Walking while carrying objects, crouching, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching with hands and arms, and grasping objects fill a portion of the day in a warehouse environment Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects The employee is often required to stand and walk throughout the entire day Reliable physical attendance is required The employee is required to stay awake throughout the shift Peepers is an equal opportunity employer.
