Full Job Description Scheduling Coordinator/Transportation Job Summary:
The Pavilion at Kenton, a leading senior care community in Covington, KY, is seeking a reliable, organized, and compassionate Scheduling Coordinator/Transportation to create, manage, and adjust the clinical staffing schedule while providing safe and courteous transportation services for our residents. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting residents' independence, ensuring timely attendance at medical appointments, community outings, and internal transfers between buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling Coordinator:
Develop and manage schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts Communicate scheduling changes to staff Track staff attendance and ensure proper documentation Fill open shifts due to absences, call-ins, or emergencies Maintain accurate records of scheduling, overtime, and staffing hours Coordinate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and management to address staffing shortages or overtime concerns Serve as the primary point of contact for clinical staff regarding schedules Other duties as assigned
Transportation Associate:
Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapies, community outings, and between the two care buildings Assist residents in and out of vehicles, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids Secure wheelchairs and ensure passenger safety at all times Maintain transportation schedules and coordinate with nursing and administrative staff Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and in good working condition Provide friendly, respectful interaction with residents, families, and staff Follow all traffic laws and organizational safety protocols
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record State Tested Nursing Assistant Preferred Experience driving wheelchair-accessible vehicles preferred CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with seniors or in healthcare settings is an asset Ability to assist residents with mobility needs (lifting, bending, securing equipment) Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Education and Experience:
Previous scheduling experience required High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to successfully pass background check
