Job Description
Overview Plans, schedules, and coordinates the daily production flow of finished metal posters to align material availability, press capacity, and customer order deadlines. About the Role The Production Planner, under the direction of the Operations Manager , oversees the master production schedule for our metal manufacturing facility. You will translate customer orders and demand forecasts into actionable job schedules for printing, cutting, finishing, and packaging departments, ensuring high equipment utilization and on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities Create, manage, and optimize daily and weekly master production schedules for all printing, cutting, and assembly lines. Monitor inventory levels of raw metal sheets, UV inks, and packaging supplies to ensure material availability prior to scheduling job runs. Track job progress through each stage of manufacturing, dynamically re-prioritizing schedules to clear bottlenecks and accommodate rush orders. Collaborate with department leads and packaging managers to balance workload capacity, staff scheduling, and machine uptime. Maintain production metrics (OEE, job completion rates, scrap rates) and generate performance reporting for plant leadership. Essential Job Functions & Duty Disclosure Physical Demands:
Constant standing, walking, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand/wrist movements throughout an 8- to 12-hour shift. Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.Work Environment:
Active manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial print machinery, UV inks, cleaning solvents, moving mechanical components, and moderate noise. Required PPE includes safety glasses and non-slip, closed-toe shoes.Pay:
