Job Description

Mayvin seeks a Transportation Specialist supporting the United States Marshals Service Tactical Operations Division (TOD), Special Operations Group (SOG). The Transportation Specialist will assist with logistics of transporting equipment as well as accounting for property. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to pass a background investigation (BI)
Responsibilities:
Safely operate Government owned tractor trailers with capacities greater than 13 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver equipment across the United States Load or unload equipment from trucks using special loading-related equipment or other equipment as necessary Inspect repairs to transportation vehicles or equipment to ensure that repair work was performed properly Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity Will require overnight travel as needed by the division
Required Qualifications :
High School Diploma 5 years of experience driving tractor/trailer combinations across the country Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required Ability to inspect and maintain vehicles, supplies, and equipment Experienced in inventory management Familiar with basic vehicle maintenance tasks Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes
