Job Title:
Logistics Specialist Job Description The Logistics Specialist prepares shipping documentation and labels, manages pick lists, and coordinates the accurate picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders within strict timeframes. This role also receives customer returns, supports work-in-process job tracking for finished goods, and maintains accurate inventory information within an ERP system. The Logistics Specialist works in a clean, smaller warehouse environment and contributes directly to efficient order fulfillment and export operations. Responsibilities Prepare FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping labels for all customer orders in a timely and accurate manner. Generate complete export documentation, including Air Waybills, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, and Packing Lists, to ensure timely customs clearance. Create and manage pick lists to support efficient and accurate order fulfillment. Pick, pack, and ship accessory orders within 24 hours, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging. Receive and process customer Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) in the ERP system and physically in the warehouse. Create and close work-in-process jobs for finished goods in the ERP or MRP system to maintain accurate production and inventory records. Use ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to enter, update, and maintain inventory and shipping data. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations and resolve any shipping or documentation issues. Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail. Follow established procedures and contribute ideas to support continuous improvement in logistics and warehouse processes. Essential Skills Previous experience working with an ERP system. Strong logistics and inventory management skills, including order processing and data entry. High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and data. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to adapt to changing requirements and workflows as necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a strong team player. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong overall computer skills. Comfort using ERP or MRP systems to manage inventory, work-in-process jobs, and shipping data. Ability to interact professionally with internal teams and support a positive team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with shipping carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL. Familiarity with generating export documentation, including Air Waybills, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, and Packing Lists. Experience working in a warehouse or inventory-focused environment. Prior exposure to continuous improvement programs or process improvement initiatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications beyond Excel is a plus. Experience with MRP systems in addition to ERP systems is a plus. Why Work Here? The environment encourages teamwork, open communication, and adaptability as priorities shift to meet customer needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
