Job Description:
The Production Planner Analyst supports manufacturing operations by developing and executing production plans aligned with available capacity and material demand. This role partners closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to coordinate daily assembly activities and meet customer delivery expectations. The Production Planner Analyst works with production cell leads to monitor schedules, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance on-time delivery and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Production Planning Develop daily assembly schedules based on resource availability and material requirements Prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion of assemblies Collaborate with production cell leads to establish schedules and monitor performance Maintain and update daily scheduling boards Lead daily production meetings to review performance, identify issues, and support problem-solving activities Communicate production plan updates across Production, Materials, and Sales teams Work Order Management Monitor work order status to support timely and accurate completion Investigate and resolve work order discrepancies as needed KPI Tracking & Reporting Track and report on key performance metrics, including on-time delivery and cell utilization Prepare routine production reports and dashboards Maintain accurate data to support operational reviews and decision-making Documentation & Continuous Improvement Document processes and procedures to support standardized work Maintain accuracy of planning data, including bill of materials (BOM) labor hours Support continuous improvement initiatives within production planning and operations Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and basic data analysis Strong organizational and process-oriented mindset Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus Demonstrated ability to document procedures and support continuous improvement efforts Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Familiarity with KPI reporting, data analysis, or continuous improvement methodologies
