Position Overview -
Production Planner Summary:
The Production Planner converts customer demand into executable production and shipping schedules, ensuring manufacturing activities are completed efficiently, on time, and aligned with customer requirements. This role develops and maintains production plans by balancing material availability, inventory levels, labor capacity, and manufacturing constraints. Working cross-functionally with Customer Service, Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Warehousing, the Production Planner coordinates resources and priorities to support on-time delivery and compliance with STAUFF operational standards. The position analyzes production and demand data, monitors key performance indicators, adjusts schedules to address changing business needs, and proactively identifies opportunities to optimize workflow, improve delivery performance, and enhance overall operational efficiency. What You'll Do Build and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines Work closely with Production, Shipping, and Customer Service to align materials, labor, and priorities Monitor and adjust manufacturing orders (MOs), expediting when needed to keep production on track Review material availability and usage; partner with teams to quickly resolve issues Support expedite requests and provide reliable delivery commitments Identify and address risks that could impact production timelines Analyze performance data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Troubleshoot planning and quality issues to maintain schedule accuracy Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards What You Bring Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments Experience with production planning or scheduling processes Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Mechanical aptitude and solid math skills A proactive, dependable mindset with a focus on quality and on-time delivery Qualifications High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related) 2+ years of production planning experience (manufacturing environment preferred) Experience in high-volume or make-to-order operations is a plus Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 6S) preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Occasional bending/twisting; frequent use of hands and close vision About

$57,311.52 - $69,020.33 per year
