Position:
Production Planner Job Summary The Production Planner is responsible for planning, preparing, issuing, controlling production schedules, and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.   • and long-term schedule in order to maximize efficiency.
Responsibilities Works with Plant Manager in coordinating and planning production activities to improve efficiency. Establish short and long-term production schedules for the plant and others. Analyze back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations. Develop the firm production schedule and communicate to appropriate production leads and management. In charge of establishing block and fabrication molding schedules that complement the operations schedule; molding tailored logs for certain customers in order to reduce waste. Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences. Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines. Communicate plans, production delays, and upcoming risks to the Plant Manager. In charge of performing inventory cycle counts as required monthly, quarterly, and yearly for the plant. Communicates the production schedule and any potential problems with scheduling, operations, transportation, and sales. Other duties assigned as needed or required Qualifications Strong understanding of the production requirements. Prior experience as a production planner in the industry preferred Good understanding of the industry market trends and conditions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional organizational and time-management skills Strong regard for product quality and safety standards Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills Meticulous and diligent Benefits We believe in taking care of the people who take care of our customers.
