Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in our supply chain operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing logistics, inventory management, and procurement processes to ensure seamless product flow from suppliers to customers. Your expertise in supply chain analytics, process improvement methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration will empower our organization to achieve operational efficiency and strategic growth. Duties Analyze supply chain data using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement. Manage inventory demand forecasting and demand planning activities to align stock levels with sales projections and reduce excess or shortages. Utilize ERP systems like SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, and SAP to coordinate procurement, logistics, and inventory control functions effectively. Lead continuous improvement initiatives employing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and eliminate waste. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and sales to optimize supply chain planning and execution. Conduct root cause analysis on supply disruptions or inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions for sustainable solutions. Negotiate directly with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong professional relationships that support procurement goals. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics roles with a focus on process optimization and analytics. Strong proficiency in data analysis software such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and data visualization tools. Hands-on experience with ERP systems including SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms; familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of logistics inventory management techniques including inventory control, demand forecasting analysis, and inventory management strategies. Demonstrated ability to lead projects utilizing Lean management practices such as Kaizen for continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and negotiate effectively with suppliers. Formal training or certification in Six Sigma or Lean methodologies is preferred; experience applying these frameworks in a manufacturing or distribution setting is advantageous.
