Job Description

Job Summary:
The Customer Service Rep is the primary liaison between TI Automotive Grand Rapids Plant and its automotive customers. This role ensures accurate communication of schedules, orders, and shipping requirements, while coordinating internally with Production, Materials, and Shipping to meet customer expectations. The position supports TI's commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the main point of contact for customer orders, schedules, and shipping requirements. Process and monitor EDI releases; distribute updated orders to plant departments daily. Communicate proactively with customers on order status, shipping timing, and inquiries. Coordinate with Production and Shipping to ensure daily shipping requirements are met. Distribute the customer's rolling 5-week schedule across departments. Prepare and verify shipping documentation daily. Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Shipping to resolve customer quality or logistics issues. Participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement activities. Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 (QMS), ISO 14001:2015 (EMS), and
IATF 16949
2016 (AQMS). Adhere to and enforce all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (MIOSHA, OSHA).
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Logistics, or related field required. Minimum 3+ years in Tier 1 automotive plastics manufacturing. Experience working directly with OEM customers (GM, Ford preferred). Background in materials, logistics, and shipping coordination. Proficiency with EDI systems and OEM scheduling processes.
