Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Shipping/Receiving specialist prepares outgoing and review incoming shipments to and from customers and vendors including essential paperwork, packaging requirements, labeling, and inspection per MMT Quality System procedures. Set-up transportation needs for all packages (including international) shipping to and from Mountain Manufacturing based on delivery date requirements. They will communicate the company's core values of Quality (following the quality program), Attitude (optimistic and helpful), and Attendance (be here every day and on time) throughout the organization. 1.

QUALIFICATIONS
4.1 High School Diploma or
GED. 4.2
Familiarity with quality and industry standards. 4.3 Effective writing and communication skills. 4.4 Proficient in MS Office, and experience with ERP systems (JobBOSS) 4.5 Ability to operate a forklift. 4.6 Basic ability to read customer supplied schematic prints and understand measuring equipment such as tape measures, scales, and decimals/fraction. 5. Key Responsibilities Works in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure that Quality System and regulatory requirements are met in an ethical manner. 5.1 Prepare customer pack lists, and/or vendor purchase orders; checks item to be shipped against work order to ensure that quantities, destination, and information are correct. 5.2 Support the preparation of customer certification documentation per individual requirements and quality procedures. 5.3 Determines most economical and efficient shipping method; select appropriate shipping containers; pack items to ensure safe, high-quality delivery of medical devices. 5.4 Inspect shipments for damage or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor. 5.5 Receive, sort, count, and verify numbers prior to delivering items to departments, customers, and/or vendors. 5.6 Assist with vendor communications, and communicate daily regarding outside services, delivery deadlines and concerns that may arise. 5.7 Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety standards. 5.8 Attend daily production meetings and provide updates on outgoing shipments, incoming deliveries, and shipments in transit to ensure timely communication across internal teams making sure to escalate any potential issues until they are resolved. 5.9 Abide by the day-to-day Safety Standards for personnel by utilizing mandatory Safety Procedures. 5.10 Work overtime and weekends as required. 5.11 Other duties as assigned by management. 5.12 Communicates and promotes the

Physical Requirements 7.1 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be sitting, walking and use hands and fingers, handle or feel, frequently required to talk, or hear, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. 7.2 Lift or move product up to 50lbs by oneself. 7.3 Capability of experiencing exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold and/or chemicals. 7.4 Required use of PPE such as safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, and gloves.
