The Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating customer orders throughout the manufacturing process to help ensure products are completed accurately and shipped on schedule. This position requires someone who can see potential problems before they become delays. You'll track materials and order status, follow up with departments, identify missing components, maintain accurate ERP information, and help keep production moving. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, materials coordination, production coordination, supply chain, inventory, logistics, or project coordination and is comfortable working within an ERP system.
What You'll Do:

Verify that required materials, parts, and components are available for production. Monitor production progress and track outstanding line items. Identify potential material shortages, production issues, and scheduling problems before they impact customer delivery. Maintain accurate order status, production notes, inventory updates, and shipping information within the ERP system. Work closely with Planning, Purchasing, Welding, Machining, Assembly, and Shipping. Communicate with department leaders to establish priorities, resolve bottlenecks, and keep orders moving. Follow up across departments to ensure production and shipment commitments are being met. Verify that order components are complete, properly labeled, packaged, and ready for shipment. Prepare and label skids and assist with basic packaging and consolidation of parts as needed. Maintain accurate customer-order and shipping documentation. Help resolve discrepancies involving materials, inventory, production status, or shipment readiness. Ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential issues before they affect production or customer delivery. Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team. Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency. Ability to work onsite in Winona, MN.
Preferred:
2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, production coordination, materials coordination, supply chain, logistics, inventory, or project coordination. Experience using an ERP system within a manufacturing environment. Experience coordinating customer orders through production and shipment. Experience working with production schedules, pick lists, inventory, materials, or shipping documentation. Experience collaborating with manufacturing departments such as Planning, Purchasing, Welding, Machining, Assembly, and Shipping. What Makes Someone Successful in This Role? You pay attention to the details, follow up consistently, and communicate with the right people when something could affect an order. You are comfortable moving between an ERP system and the production floor to determine what is happening and what needs to happen next. You enjoy being the person who keeps things moving and can work with several departments without losing sight of the customer's deadline. If you are organized, dependable, proactive, and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you.
