As a Logistics Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the movement of dry and liquid bulk commodities while learning the day-to-day operations that keep a large transportation network running efficiently. This internship offers exposure to dispatch operations, logistics technology, data-driven decision-making, and transportation management, providing valuable real-world experience in a dynamic industry. What You'll Do Operations & Dispatch Learn the fundamentals of transportation planning, route optimization, and asset utilization. Assist with driver and equipment scheduling to support efficient operations. Gain insight into daily dispatch processes and customer service coordination. Logistics Technology Support the implementation and continuous improvement of logistics software and operational workflows. Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and process enhancements. Strategic Projects Participate in geofencing and location-tracking initiatives designed to improve visibility, operational performance, and customer experience. Assist with data analysis and reporting related to transportation operations. Industry Knowledge Develop an understanding of the regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices governing the transportation of dry and liquid bulk commodities throughout the United States. Learn how transportation, supply chain management, and logistics teams work together to deliver exceptional service. Ideal Candidate Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Transportation, Operations Management, or a related field. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
