Performance Plus Global Logistics is a growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider dedicated to building long-term partnerships through exceptional service, accountability, and customized transportation solutions. We provide our customers with a full range of transportation solutions, including truckload, LTL, expedite, white glove, trade show, specialized services, air, ocean, and international freight, all delivered with responsive communication, integrity, and a personal level of service. We're seeking an experienced Accounting & Billing Specialist to manage the accounting and billing activities that support every shipment, from invoicing and collections through reconciliation and cash application. Working closely with Operations, Sales, and customers, you will help ensure billing accuracy, healthy receivables, and efficient financial operations. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable & Billing Manage the complete Accounts Receivable cycle, including customer invoicing, collections, cash application, account maintenance, and customer support. Prepare timely and accurate invoices by validating shipment details, pricing, accessorial charges, and supporting documentation. Manage collections, resolve billing discrepancies, rebills, and customer disputes while maintaining strong customer relationships. Monitor customer payment trends and credit exposure to support timely collections and healthy cash flow. Billing Accuracy & Reconciliation Review customer invoices, carrier invoices, pricing, accessorial charges, and shipment details to ensure billing accuracy and identify discrepancies. Resolve billing discrepancies by working closely with Operations and Sales teams, as well as our customers, while supporting billing across truckload, LTL, expedited, white glove, trade show, air, ocean, international, and other transportation services. Escalate pricing or margin discrepancies to the appropriate Account Manager for review and approval when necessary. Accounts Payable Support Crosstrain in Accounts Payable to provide coverage and business continuity. Review carrier invoices for accuracy, validate charges against shipment details, and assist with resolving billing discrepancies. Assist with vendor invoice processing, vendor statement reconciliations, and payment support as business needs require. Qualifications Five or more years of accounting experience with a strong background in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, and cash flow management. Freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, distribution, or shipmentbased accounting experience is highly preferred. Experience with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and business software applications. Transportation Management System (TMS) experience is strongly preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problemsolving ability. Professional communication skills with the confidence to work directly with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal teams. Proven record of dependable attendance, punctuality, accountability, and consistent job performance. Success in This Role Success means you consistently: Deliver accurate invoices on time.
