GED Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Support role will assist with the day-to-day transactions and documentation of supply chain operations. The primary objective is to support the smooth functioning of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and external partners. Please note, this role also includes warehouse responsibilities and requires the ability to perform manual labor as part of regular job duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supply chain activities. Handle correspondence and communication with suppliers and internal teams. Assist with preparing and processing purchase orders and requisitions. Support the preparation of reports and documentation for supply chain operations.
Inventory Management:
Help maintain accurate inventory records and update the inventory management system. Assist in receiving material deliveries Verify the accuracy of materials being received. Create and sustain a clean and organized storage yard Support efforts to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper inventory handling and storage. Perform testing and redeployment of CPE materials.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Input and update supply chain data into relevant systems and databases. Assist in generating reports on supply chain performance metrics. Help analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with other departments, such as production, sales, and finance, to support supply chain activities. Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide input on supply chain issues.
Process Improvement:
Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain. Support the implementation of best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve supply chain operations.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Maintain and organize supply chain documentation for audits and reviews. Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory compliance and customs requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or coursework in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics, or administrative support role is advantageous. Prior Telecommunications experience is helpful, but not required.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior experience with Excel is helpful, but not required. Prior experience with a forklift is preferred. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of supply chain processes and terminology. Familiarity with inventory management and procurement procedures. Knowledge of logistics and transportation practices.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work outdoors, and in all weather conditions. Must be able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds. often. May require occasional overtime during peak periods.
