30PM We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Wave Planner to join our dynamic supply chain and logistics team. The Wave Planner will be responsible for orchestrating the efficient scheduling and coordination of warehouse distribution, transportation, and inventory management activities. This role is pivotal in optimizing order fulfillment, reducing costs, and enhancing overall supply chain performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, extensive experience with warehouse management systems, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes to ensure seamless operations across multiple channels. Responsibilities Develop and execute detailed wave plans to optimize warehouse picking, packing, and shipping operations in alignment with demand forecasts and inventory levels. Coordinate transportation management activities, including freight scheduling, dispatching, and carrier negotiations to ensure timely delivery. Utilize data analysis tools such as Tableau and SQL to monitor key performance indicators, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements. Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiations to maximize cost efficiencies. Oversee inventory control processes including stock replenishment, cycle counting, and materials handling to maintain optimal stock levels. Analyze supply chain data to identify root causes of delays or excess costs; implement corrective actions using process improvement methodologies. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and other external partners. Support demand planning activities by analyzing historical data and forecasting future needs using ERP systems such as SAP or AS400. Ensure compliance with safety standards during materials handling operations involving forklifts or mechanical equipment. Contribute to the continuous enhancement of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) for operational efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or logistics planning roles. Strong proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400. Demonstrated expertise in procurement, sourcing, category management, and vendor negotiations. Excellent data collection and analysis skills utilizing tools like Tableau, SQL, and supply chain analytics software. Knowledge of inventory management techniques including MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory control, and demand planning. Familiarity with freight forwarding processes including shipping & receiving procedures for e-commerce or retail environments. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts is advantageous. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including production planning, procurement, and logistics teams. Ability to perform root cause analysis and lead process improvement initiatives within complex supply chain networks. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Minimum of 2 years customer service experience working with warehouse management systems, order management systems and/or LogFire A HS Diploma or GED or BS/BA degree in Logistics, Biology, Business Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of warehouse operational procedures, including receiving, order processing, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management and cycle counting.
