About the Role As a Commercial Transport Specialist, you will serve as a vital link in the supply chain, ensuring that goods reach their destinations securely and on schedule. You will leverage your expertise in vehicle operation and logistics to drive operational success while maintaining the highest standards of road safety and professional conduct. Responsibilities Execute safe and efficient transport of goods, optimizing routes to ensure timely delivery and operational impact. Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee fleet reliability and regulatory compliance. Maintain precise electronic logs of driving hours, maintenance intervals, and delivery documentation. Uphold strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and traffic laws during all transit activities. Coordinate seamlessly with dispatch teams to manage delivery schedules and proactively resolve logistical challenges. Manage the secure loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring product integrity throughout the transit process. Deliver superior customer service by acting as a professional representative during all site interactions. Qualifications Required Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving history. Minimum of 2 years of professional commercial driving experience. Comprehensive understanding of transportation safety protocols and defensive driving techniques. Proven ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Physical capability to handle heavy freight and perform manual loading tasks as necessary. Preferred Skills High school diploma or equivalent educational background. Additional endorsements or specialized certifications related to commercial transport. Experience with modern fleet management or telematics software.
