$30.00/hourPosition OverviewA fast-paced manufacturing operation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Planner to join its Materials team. This role is responsible for sequencing production kits, coordinating inventory movements, and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are met efficiently and on time.



The Production Planner serves as a key liaison between materials planning, warehouse operations, third-party logistics providers, and production teams. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work with urgency, and a commitment to continuous improvement.



Key ResponsibilitiesExecute production schedules through the release and sequencing of kits for material handlers.



Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and materials teams to ensure timely delivery of production kits.



Manage and delegate inventory transactions to maintain accurate inventory records.



Drive scheduling and picking activities to support uninterrupted production.



Record inventory discrepancies, coordinate cycle counts, and communicate expedited material requirements.



Partner with receiving teams to coordinate urgent inbound deliveries.



Track process deviations, identify root causes, and support corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.



Monitor production flow and support efforts to achieve planned production targets.



Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material shortages and production issues.



Maintain accurate production and inventory data within planning systems.



Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.



Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, operations, materials, production planning, inventory control, or a related field.



Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.



Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.



Proven leadership potential and ability to work effectively within a team environment.



Preferred QualificationsExperience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.



Knowledge of inventory management and production scheduling processes.



Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.



Excellent verbal and written communication skills.



Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
